Frequently Asked Questions
Our summer tournament runs Friday to Sunday. However, if you are a traveling team, we can accommodate a Saturday start. We start on Friday evening to avoid as much of the heat as possible and pick back up Saturday evening. Sunday we all face the heat. When you register your team, you’ll be asked about whether or not your team can play Friday. Also depending on numbers, your team may not have a Friday night game. Our Winter tournament is Saturday-Sunday only.
Typically we’ll collect free agent names and distribute those to captains. It is up to captains to add you to their team. This does not always guarantee you a spot in the tournament. Depending on numbers, we often will try to build Free Agent teams. This typically gears up a few weeks before the tournament. Check back here or reach out to us if you want to play.
No worries, we get it. As long as it is before the registration window ends, we’ll refund 100% (minus a small online processing fee we are charged).
Up to 10 days from tournament start if you pull out, we’ll refund 50% of your entry fee
After that point, the schedule is set, rosters are nearly locked in, refs and fields are committed and the train has left the station. We will not guarantee a refund.
If the tournament gets cancelled for any reason (weather, pandemic, etc.), we’ll refund 100% of your registration (minus the fees we incur for online processing – $0.30+2.9%)
If the tournament is cancelled, we will typically refund your fees within 10-14 business days. Stick with us while we shuffle funds around and wait for our own refunds.
We are sanctioned through Alabama Soccer Association (ASA), which is part of USASA. This is the same registration that is required for HASL. All players will need to be registered through ASA for the current playing year (typically runs from fall to spring – i.e. – 25/26 season). There are no player cards to bring to the field, but your name and information is on the roster which is presented to the refs. Refs and/or tournament officials may ask for an ID at any point to validate your roster and proper registration. See the rules for more information.
FAQs
No, if you are registered for the current season you do not need to register again. If you register through our tournament, that registration is also good for league play. You only need to pay that registration once per year. Reach out if you have questions.
The rules currently state 16 people on the roster. Please check the current rules for the official roster size.
We will freeze rosters 3 days from the start of the tournament. No players can be added after this point.
Thanks for asking. Here it is.
Yes, we require jerseys with numbers…or taped on numbers. You can do it, we believe in you!
As long as you are in different divisions, there is no issue with it. We cannot guarantee that you will not have a conflict between your teams.
Absolutely! The only gender restriction we place is on the women’s division in our soccer tournaments…in which men can’t play. Sorry guys.
This is often hard to pinpoint – but we’ll help you out here. If you have a question – reach out!
Open – Most competitive division, the best local/regional adult amateur talent. If you play HASL, this is equivalent to the premier division.
Rec Comp– Just a step down, still a competitive division though
Rec Fun – Our 3rd division, supposed to be just for fun, but is still a competitive environment.
Women – A division of their own
Co-Ed– Two women on the field. Historically this is a very competitive division.
Age Based– For the age groups (Over-30, Over-40, Over-50), these are typically pretty competitive divisions.
